У меня эта запись есть только на шатовском бутлеге "PHILADELPHIA, May 1, 1970, Pt 2 + bonus" (1 CD). Будет весьма любопытно послушать, как Брюсу Ботнику удалось "подтянуть" исходную фонограмму под современный качественный уровень. Опять же, у мызыкантов Дорз всегда чесались руки переписать некоторые партии (об этом уже шла речь на форуме). Обошлось ли без этого на Филадельфийском двойнике - вскрытие покажет...

Это не глупо. У буржуинов сие называется "маркетинговая политика".
Посмотри на битломанов - их уже 40 лет дурачат всякими "мастерами" и "ремастерами", издапниями и переизданиями (и каждый раз им приходится заново покупать "Белый альбом"). Дорзоманов так не баловали.
Лично я не собираюсь выкладывать свои кровные за эти "два в одном по цене трех". То, что мне необходимо, наверстаю трейдом (как было с двд-аудио LA Woman). Ведь собираем мы музыку, а не фантики мелованной бумаги с цветной полиграфией. Или я неправ?

7 ноября в Штатах состоится презентация книги THE DOORS BY THE DOORS, к написанию которой приложили руки наши любимые "три мушкетера". По этому случаю Денсмор даже заключил временное перемирие с парочкой Манзарек-Кригер. Как я понял из синопсиса, по форме этот опус должен напиминать "Антологию Битлз". Morrison also scatters spoken word gems throughout both performances.
LIVE IN BOSTON is mixed and mastered by engineer Bruce Botnick, who recorded several shows from The Doors' 1970 tour on multi-track tape for the Absolutely Live album. The superior quality of the original tape reflects Botnick and his team's attention to sonic detail. All but two tracks on this collection are previously unreleased. "These concerts are really interesting and very enjoyable," Botnick writes in the liner notes. "The opening scream going into 'Roadhouse Blues' from the first show is stunning and worth the price of admission."

After a controversial incident on stage in Miami shortened The Doors' 1969 tour, the band roared back in 1970 with the astounding Morrison Hotel, followed by an inspired tour; their last with singer Jim Morrison. Bright Midnight Archives celebrates the beginning of an era's end with a three-disc set that captures the tour's first stop at the Boston Arena on April 10, 1970. Featuring complete recordings of both the early and late shows, THE DOORS LIVE IN BOSTON '70 is available July 24 at all retail outlets and at www.rhino.com and www.thedoors.com for a suggested retail price of $29.98. The liner notes also feature the three surviving members of The Doors recalling that special night in Boston. "A Surgeon General's warning should be stickered on this recording, because Jimbo is ripped!" says Densmore. "But... but, he is so damn passionate and still hits all the cues with the band, so all I can say is, 'En Vino Veritas' (in wine is the truth)." "What a wild Doors night," adds Manzarek. "We never knew what was going to happen when the shaman went over the edge. And this night is over the edge. He's beyond the pale, like Kurtz in Apocalypse Now. Like Dean Moriarty in On The Road."

Вообще это конечно классная новость! Никогда не слышал этот концерт и с нетерпением жду выпуска.Вроде на одном из них Джим выступал пьяным и когда группе вырубили звук он произнес ''Cocksuckers'' Вот очень хочу этот момент услышать.И несомненно радует то, что потихоньку Дорзы кроме очередных переизданий своих альбомов, все-таки выпускают что-то новое...
